I have spent most of my life as an athlete and lover of sports, and it is partially what brought me to alternative medicine because athletes are open to trying many modalities to enhance our performance. Acupuncture is a great addition because it enhances your bodies abilities by increasing heal time and oxygen saturation for your muscles, it keeps your nervous system relaxed, yet alert, and improves your overall health.
I believe that if most athletes would encorporate acupuncture, chiropractic care, massage, yoga, and meditation to their regular routines, they would see very tangible improvements in their mental and physical abilities when competing.
